We collect and process personal information with your consent, as required by law, or as necessary to fulfill the legitimate interests or business purposes of Sensys Gatso, including to: (i) provide you with products and services; (ii) manage, administer and operate our business; (iii) meet our contractual and legal obligations; carry out direct marketing and sales purposes; (v) prevent fraud; and (vi) protect the security of our systems and our customers.

Sensys Gatso collects Personal Data from various kinds of sources in different ways with the goal to maintain and establish legitimate business and to achieve our purpose. Sensys Gatso collects and processes Personal Data;
- To run legitimate business operations where the data collected includes but is not limited to; names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, employee information, job application data, login credentials, website data and cookies
- as part of and needed to; deliver, test, commissioning, service and maintain traffic enforcement systems (as a service) for our customers as part of our day-to-day legitimate business operations or as part of processing such data under contract. During these activities the following data may be collected and processed; plates, location data, faces, addresses,
- from (potential) customers, suppliers, contractors or other interested parties, as needed or required for; business communications, to conclude and perform an agreement/contract or to comply with regulations or requirements,
- in order to be able to efficiently communicate:
- with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders,
- to send or request commercial business information,
- to arrange the transport and shipping of goods,
- about financial information,
- about other aspects needed for legitimate business arrangements.
What do we do with direct marketing?
We use personal information for marketing purposes, as we have a legitimate interest in using personal information provided to us to be able to inform known and potential customers and stakeholders. This with the goal to promote and sell our products and services as part of our commercial activities.
If a person subscribes to our newsletter, a consent and authorization is granted to store and use this provided personal information with the goal to inform an interested person by mail of our products, services and company news.
When do we disclose Personal Data?
Personal Data collected and processed by Sensys Gatso shall not be disclosed to others except when;
- mandatory as required or authorized by law.
- mandatory to comply with business, financial and accounting regulations.
- requested by authorized government departments, including the justice department.
In all other cases Personal Data shall only be disclosed after consent and approval of the person(s) involved.
Security of Personal Information.
Sensys Gatso is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. Collected personal information is stored in a secure and controlled manner where we take all reasonable security procedures and practices and appropriate organizational measures and actions to protect the personal information we collect and process from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, theft or any other compromise. Additionally, only authorized personnel of Sensys Gatso and of our third party providers with a legitimate need to know are provided access to personal data and these employees and third party providers are required to treat this information as confidential where appliable. Despite these actions and precautions, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not obtain access to your personal data.
If you arrange for services through this website, it may be necessary for us to transfer your personal information to our affiliates or third parties in order to assist in fulfilling the services.
How long do we retain Personal Information?
Sensys Gatso will retain personal information collected for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purpose for which the information was provided, to maintain a record of communication with you, or as required in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax or accounting requirements.
When the data is no longer needed to process your personal information, we will either delete, return, or anonymize it. If data is stored in backup archives, the data will be further protected until deleted.
Who has access to Personal Data?
Access to personal and privacy sensitive data is strictly limited within Sensys Gatso.
The persons whose data is processed by Sensys Gatso, has the right to;
- inspect, correct, limit, object, delete or transfer the data we process.
Sensys Gatso will cooperate with a person invoking a right, to the extent possible, in relation to the business purposes and goals.
However, if personal information is processed by Sensys Gatso;
- Under contract, as part of the services we provide to a customer, access to personal information is strictly prohibited for the requester unless specifically authorized, in writing, by the responsible controller (customer) of the personal information.
- For legitimate business purposes, as described, maybe not all rights can be invoked as Sensys Gatso has other mandatory obligations to comply with for which processing of personal information is needed.
Access to or a request to invoke a right regarding processed personal information can be requested by submitting a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) and/or by contacting the Sensys Gatso Data Protection Officer (see below).
In order to protect personal information, we may require identification from the requester before releasing information. Sensys Gatso will not charge any fee for access requests but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of or a report about the requested personal information.
When do we share data with third parties?
Sensys Gatso only collects personal information when needed for its legitimate organizational purposes and does, in principle, not share this data with other parties.
However, on some occasions we may have to provide information to, or let the personal information be processed by third parties. It may be needed to share personal information to a person, customer, supplier or other interested parties that provide a service, supply parts, materials or products to Sensys Gatso or who performs selected activities and processes data under our control. But data is only shared when agreed (with consent), under contract or when mandatory.
Sensys Gatso uses external server space, cloud services and applications for the processing of parts of our sales, development, and supply records and our records of business relations. personal information may be included in these records and can therefore be provided to a third party service provider under our control.
We do not sell any collected personal information under our control to any third party.

How to Sumit a Verifiable Request
Sensys Gatso will respond to requests in accordance with the CCPA if it can verify the identity of the individual submitting the request or the authorized agent or guardian of the individual. You may designate in writing an authorized agent to exercise your rights under the CCPA on your behalf. Even if you use an authorized agent to exercise your rights under the CCPA on your behalf, pursuant to the CCPA we may still require that you verify your own identity directly to us, unless you have provided a power of attorney under the California Probate Code. We may not be able to comply with your request if we are unable to confirm your identity or connect the information you submit in your request with Personal Information in our possession.
Children’s Privacy
Sensys Gatso does not market its products or service to nor are they intended for children under the age of 16 (or such age as a child is defined by local law if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent and request that children do not submit personal information to us. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 years old without parental consent, we will delete the information.
What kind of cookies do we use?
Our company website uses cookies, which are saved on the website visitor’s device as a small text file. A cookie can be either a session cookie or a cookie that is stored for a longer period.

System Security Requirements and Data Governance Measures.
Sensys Gatso is subject to Sensys Gatso Group AB’s operating rules and security controls, including, but not limited to, data security, user ids, and password requirements. All Sensys Gatso employees have the obligation to report any personal information breach or incident to the Data Protection Officer (DPO), according to our global reporting data leak incidents policy. This also applies when a breach or incident is observed by people outside Sensys Gatso and is reported to an employee.
The DPO starts an incident investigation and will report an incident involving a possible data security breach involving personal information as soon as possible in accordance with applicable laws.
Sensys Gato implements multiple measures and maintains policies and practices to ensure the protection of your personal information, including: technical safeguards such as encryption, firewalls, antivirus software, secure access control mechanisms, secure user authentication, system monitoring, and similar additional measures to protect information stored in electronic format; a designated Data Protection Officer (DPO); employee privacy and data security training; and procedures for reporting and investigating any security incidents involving personal information.
